Structure, the history, charm of Amagasaki Castle

Amagasaki Castle is a castle (Flatland Castle) which was in current Amagasaki-shi, Hyogo of Japan.

In 1617, Ujikane Toda entered in 50000 koku and built this Castle.  Having a triple moat, four folds of composition-type castle towers and three triple oars which let two two folds of oars with attach to the Honmaru were given  As for the lord of a castle, three people 12s was replaced from construction of a castle to an abandoned castle.  In 1711, Tadataka Matsudaira of the Sakurai Matsudairas enters with 46,000 koku and rule of the Sakurai Matsudairas continues afterward with seven generations and invites the late Tokugawa period, and the last feudal lord is Tadaoki Matsudaira .  In 1873, the building was demolished except a part by an Abandoned Castle Law .  In 1874, a part of the Honmaru Palace was removed and rebuilt as Hondo of the House of family temple, Jinsyouin (in Daimotsucho).  Amagasaki ruins of a castle park is arranged by a part of the site of castle and a stone wall and an earthen wall simulate it and are restored to the original state.

【 Castle Tower Reconstruction Plan 】
- Construction of Amagasaki Castle that was demolished in the early Meiji era and the restoration was planned started.  The Castle to be restored is a 5-story reinforced concrete structure, consisting of a 4-layer tenant and 2 layers of a tower.  According to the completion prediction map released by the city, the elegant appearance familiar with the name of " Kotoura Castle " will be reproduced.  It is going to be completed in August, 2018.
