Structure, the history, charm of Kanazawa Castle

Kanazawa Castle is a castle (Flatland Mountain Castle) which was in current Marunouchi, Kanazawa-shi, Ishikawa of Japan

 This Castle becomes the structure that used many Oars. The tile was lightweight to be able to tolerate the winter snow, and, also, the lead tile which became the bullet was used for an emergency. There was Honmaru, Ninomaru, Sannomaru, but assumed Ninomaru the whereabouts of the feudal lord after the destruction by fire of a Castle Tower and the Third-floor Oar. This Castle could not be called the strong Castle, and It was based militarily to meet an enemy on the occasion of an emergency in a Castle Town, and many temples were erected as a military base.
 In 1546, "Oyama Gobou" which was a temple made with the castle with a dried foss or the fence was erected, and it was in a base of Honganji Temple which got the control of Kaga in The Kaga Ikko ikki (uprising of Ikko sect followers). In 1580, Sakuma Moriagi attacked "Oyama Gobou" and renamed it as Kanazawa Castle and used it. In 1583, Toshiie Maeda who received an increased yield from Hideyoshi Hashiba (Hideyoshi Toyotomi) entered this country after the Battle of Shizugatake and renamed this castle name to Oyama Castle. In 1587, Christian daimyo Ukon Takayama who was confiscated by the Bateren Tsuihorei (an edict expelling the Jesuit missionaries) is called by Toshiie, and performed a shakeup of Oyama Castle. (It is said that it was around this time that it was renamed Kanazawa Castle again). In 1592, Toshinaga Maeda of the child of Toshiie remodeled it again. However, the Castle Tower is destroyed by fire by a thunderbolt hurriedly in 1602. The Castle Tower was not made afterward.
 As the total stronghold of the Maeda family which is named the Kaga 100 Mangoku in the Edo period, the Castle and Town develop greatly, but after that many buildings were destroyed by fire. Ishikawa-mon Gate which is currently left was rebuilt in 1787 .
